East Village Group Photo Walk

Celebrate Labour Day while practicing your photography in a fun group setting!

We will walk around the East Village neighbourhood, exploring landmarks including the River Walk, Central Library, Platform, and The Confluence (formerly Fort Calgary).

It's a good opportunity to try out street, architecture, portrait, abstract, and other types of photography.

All levels are welcome and mobile phone cameras are perfectly fine if you don't own a DSLR or mirrorless camera.

Please dress for the weather and wear comfortable shoes. Meet up location is at the Simmons Building along the River Walk.

*Under 18 must be accompanied by an adult guardian.

Why go on a Group Photo Walk?

  • Practice your skills in photography and observation in a collaborative environment.

  • Meet other photographers in your area.

  • See how other photographers see and shoot. Learn from each other!

  • Feel more safe and comfortable while wandering around.

  • Good exercise and a fun way to explore the city!

Date: Monday, September 2, 2024

Time: 1 pm - 3 pm

Location: Meet at the two c-can containers located just north of 656 Confluence Way SE. there will be a team from East Village to greet the group. See map below.
